ASUS ExpertBook B5 B5302 is aimed at business users who need a compact laptop for office work, travel, and daily multitasking. The tested configuration uses an Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor, 8 GB DDR4 memory, integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics, and a 512 GB SSD. The device focuses on portability and practical work features, while still leaving room for storage and memory expansion.

Design and Build

The laptop uses a matte aluminum chassis and keeps a clean, professional look. The build quality is described as solid, with minimal flex in everyday use. At 1.2 kg and 17 mm thickness, it is easy to carry between meetings or on business trips. The 180-degree hinge is useful for sharing content across a desk.

Display, Audio, and Webcam

The 13.3-inch Full HD OLED panel is one of the key strengths. It delivers rich color and good contrast for office work, web use, and light photo or video tasks. The reported brightness is up to 400 nits, which is comfortable indoors. Stereo speakers are clear for calls and media, while the 720p webcam is acceptable for work meetings but not class-leading in image quality.

Keyboard and Input Experience

The spill-resistant island keyboard offers 1.5 mm key travel and backlighting, which supports long typing sessions and evening work. Key feedback is clear, though the shortened arrow keys may take time to get used to. The glass touchpad supports multitouch gestures and can work as a numeric touchpad for users who enter numbers frequently.

Performance, Ports, and Battery

Intel Core i5-1135G7 and Iris Xe Graphics are suitable for office software, browsing, collaboration tools, and general productivity. This configuration is not intended for demanding gaming workloads. The platform also offers practical upgrade headroom: two memory slots (with one expansion slot) and two M.2 SSD slots, including one free slot with RAID 0/1 support.

Connectivity is strong for a compact business model: dual Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2, HDMI, micro-HDMI for RJ-45 adapter use, and an audio combo jack. Wireless options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. The 66 Wh battery is reported to deliver about 7-8 hours in multitasking and around 10 hours in 1080p video playback, with shorter runtime under heavy load.

Verdict

ASUS ExpertBook B5 B5302 is a practical business notebook for users who prioritize low weight, a quality OLED display, and flexible connectivity. Its main strength is balancing portability with real work-focused features, including upgrade options and a broad port mix. The main compromise is that graphics power is limited to integrated performance, and webcam quality is only basic. For business and daily productivity, it is a well-rounded option.
