Around the original source price of about $830, the appeal is practical rather than emotional: this is the kind of notebook meant to simplify routine office work, browser-heavy tasks, and document handling.

Design and Usability
ASUS keeps the design restrained, which works in the model’s favor. The chassis mixes plastic and metal, the surfaces are understated, and the dimensions stay reasonable for a 15.6-inch machine. At 1.75 kg it is not ultra-light, but it remains portable enough for commuting between meetings, classrooms, and home desks.
Display and Everyday Experience
The display is one of the more sensible choices in this class. A matte 15.6-inch IPS panel with Full HD resolution is a better fit for office use than a cheap glossy screen, and it gives the notebook enough visual comfort for long sessions in spreadsheets, email, and browser tabs. The webcam and speakers are basic, but they cover the everyday requirements of calls and casual media.
Performance
Ryzen 3 3250U performance is clearly entry level by modern standards, yet the surrounding configuration helps. Sixteen gigabytes of memory and a roomy 1 TB SSD remove some of the frustration that usually comes with budget work notebooks. Radeon Vega 3 graphics remain limited, so this is not a gaming or creator machine, but routine business workloads are well within its range.
Ports and Battery
Connectivity is a real strength. ASUS includes USB-C, HDMI, RJ-45 Ethernet, microSD, and even VGA, which is rare now but still useful in older office environments. The 42 Wh battery is more modest, so this is better understood as a desk-friendly work partner than an all-day travel machine.
Verdict
The ExpertBook L1 L1500CDA is easy to recommend when the buyer’s priorities are clear. It offers strong practicality, plenty of storage, a usable screen, and ports that respect real workplaces. Its processor is not ambitious, but for office productivity and general daily work the package is coherent and honest.
